Description
Feed-in braids are a protective hair style that involves adding synthetic braiding hair to natural hair. The braider “feeds in” the synthetic hair close to the root of the natural hair. The braids start small at the beginning of a row and widen as they advance toward the nape of the neck as more hair is added. Feed-in braids can create the illusion of thick braids or extra long length. They can also create the illusion of natural, thicker, and longer cornrows.
Feed-in braids are a traditional hairstyle that originated from the Fulani (Fula)
people in West Africa and the Sahel region. The style is known for its length and
unique patterns, and features braids that hang or loop on the sides of the head. Feed-iFeed-in braids can last up to two weeks, and with some tricks, can make them last up to 3 weeks.
